Following negotiations with Wolfsong, Simon & Schuster UK will publish a tenth anniversary edition of Walking the Nile by bestselling author and photographer Levison Wood on 19th December 2024. Upon its original publication, Walking the Nile swiftly became a Sunday Times Top 10 bestseller peaking at number 6, with the accompanying TV series airing on Channel 4 with around 2.8 million viewers tuning in for the opening episode. It went on to become the channel’s highest rating factual series of 2015 and subsequently aired in over one hundred territories globally, including on Animal Planet in the US, where the book was published by Grove Atlantic. The anniversary edition will include a brand-new introduction written by the author, in which he looks back on the events of the expedition, the impact it has had on his career and how life along the 4,250 mile route has changed over the past decade.
