Following negotiations with Wolfsong, Simon & Schuster UK will publish a tenth anniversary edition of Walking the Nile by bestselling author and photographer Levison Wood on 19th December 2024. Upon its original publication, Walking the Nile swiftly became a Sunday Times Top 10 bestseller peaking at number 6, with the accompanying TV series airing on Channel 4 with around 2.8 million viewers tuning in for the opening episode. It went on to become the channel’s highest rating factual series of 2015 and subsequently aired in over one hundred territories globally, including on Animal Planet in the US, where the book was published by Grove Atlantic. The anniversary edition will include a brand-new introduction written by the author, in which he looks back on the events of the expedition, the impact it has had on his career and how life along the 4,250 mile route has changed over the past decade.
From cup to compost: Simon Akeroyd partners with CoffeeB
In August 2026, a new social media partnership launched between horticulturist and bestselling author Simon Akeroyd and CoffeeB. The collaboration brings together Simon’s love of gardening and great coffee with CoffeeB’s innovative pod-free system. The brand's coffee balls contain expertly roasted coffee wrapped in a natural protective layer and are 100% compostable, avoiding the plastic and aluminium waste associated with traditional capsules. “I've always believed that looking after our gardens starts with looking after the environment around us. CoffeeB is one of those simple ideas that just makes sense. Great coffee, less waste and something I look forward to every day," says Simon. CoffeeB is available in store now.
