In December 2025, Darren Edwards and his expedition team will set out to achieve the extraordinary by aiming to break the world record for the longest sit-ski in Antarctic history. With the backing of renowned brands like British Airways, Canada Goose, P&G, Google and Starlink, this bold endeavour will showcase the strength of perseverance, teamwork and hope amid extreme circumstances. Trekking 222km to the Geographical South Pole, the team, including adventurers Dwayne Fields and Lucy Shepherd, will brave harsh conditions and temperatures below -30°C, redefining what's deemed possible for those with spinal cord injuries. To illustrate the magnitude of this challenge, Darren aims to double the current 111km sit-ski record to the South Pole, whilst also raising funds for spinal injury charity Wings for Life, with his completed mission shattering barriers and inspiring others to redefine their own limits. If you or your brand are interested in becoming a part of the expedition sponsorship team, please do get in touch and we would be delighted to discuss the opportunity with you.
