Amanda Owen is a shepherdess, mother of nine children, an accomplished author and passionate photographer. Born in Huddersfield, Amanda is a first-generation farmer, who escaped the city for the rugged landscapes of Ravenseat, a 2000-acre hill farm in North Yorkshire. Amanda's journey in TV began over a decade ago, with appearances on prominent shows like ITV1’s Countrywise and The Dales, as well as C5’s Ben Fogle's New Lives in the Wild and a cookery strand on ITV1’s This Morning. Four seasons of her own TV series Our Yorkshire Farm captivated over 3 million viewers on a regular basis, becoming Channel 5's highest-rating factual show in seven years. The series remains hugely popular internationally, including in countries such as Turkey, Iran, Greece, Germany, Australia and New Zealand. In 2023, Amanda Owen's Farming Lives launched on More4, taking Amanda across the length and breadth of the country, exploring the modern-day triumphs and trials faced by UK farmers. The series won an RGS award for Best Features documentary series in October 2023. Amanda was also one of the key contributors to the beautiful BBC Four series Winter Walks. In September 2024, we announced her latest TV adventure, Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, which follows the Owen family's journey as they renovate a derelict farmhouse and discover its fascinating social history. The series launched to great fanfare on More4 in October 2024, swiftly becoming their highest rating show of the year to date.

Her latest release, Celebrating the Seasons offers a wonderful glimpse of life on the farm, through stunning photography, heartfelt stories and delicious recipes. It was one of the UK’s top ten bestselling non-fiction titles of 2021 and was also shortlisted at the British Book Awards 2022.
