Jo is the Lead Agent and Director of Wolfsong Media, which she founded in 2012 following a successful career in factual TV and publishing.

Prior to becoming an agent, Jo was a TV producer for many years, including lengthy stints at BBC Political Documentaries, where she worked with the journalist and author Michael Lewis, as a senior producer at BBC Specialist Factual and three happy years as ITV's Head of Development for Documentaries, History and Science. She has also worked at numerous UK production companies including Wall To Wall, Lion Television, Blakeway and At It, with production credits including Standing Tall (C5), Hitting Home (ITV), Ready To Wear (BBC2), The Future Just Happened (BBC2), Inside Dot Coms (BBC2) and Turning The Tables (BBC2).

Jo subsequently spent 5 years working within Hodder & Stoughton’s non-fiction editorial department, with a particular focus on TV tie-ins, including Griff Rhys Jones' Rivers (BBC1), Martin Clunes' A Dog's Life (ITV), Lady Almina & The Real Downton Abbey (ITV), Loose Women (ITV), Kirstie’s Homemade Home (C4), Ramsay’s Ultimate Cookery Course (C4), Gino’s Italian Escape (ITV) and The Ark Before Noah (C4).

In March 2012, Jo took the plunge and set up Wolfsong to make the most of her combined broadcasting and publishing experience. The agency is known for its 360 approach to representation, specialising in working with clients with an affinity to the great outdoors. Over the past 12 years Jo has negotiated TV deals across all of the major broadcasters, including BBC, ITV, C4, C5 and Discovery, as well as book deals with Grove Atlantic, Harper Collins, Head of Zeus, Hodder, Macmillan, Simon & Schuster and Penguin Random House, amongst others.

Prior to embarking on her career, Jo studied Modern & Medieval Languages at the University of Cambridge and was a post-graduate in Documentary History at the University of Salford and a Producer at the National Film & Television School.

When Jo isn’t working, she can be found enjoying forest walks and climbing hills and mountains everywhere from mid Wales to New Zealand. She is also a keen social history enthusiast and is currently exploring the history of her home and the family who originally lived there in the 1880s.
